Free Grace for All (Seussical)

, , Comments Off on Free Grace for All (Seussical)

What if Dr. Seuss entered the debate on Calvinism & Arminianism? It might go something like this…

Grace for all
Grace for all

That grace for all!
That grace for all!
I do not like
that grace at all!

do you like
free grace for all?

I do not like God
made so small.
I do not like
free grace for all.

Would you like grace here and there?

CalvinParadox

I would not like grace
here and there.
It tries to make God
much too fair.
I do not like
free grace for all.
I do not like God
made so small.

Choice does not put
God in stocks.
It cancels out
paradox.

Free will does put my
God in stocks.
I do so like my
paradox.
I do not like grace
here and there.
It tries to make God
much to fair.
I do not like free grace for all.
I do not like God made so small.

Choice is not all
about man.
Nor cancel out
God’s big plan.

All about man.
God has a plan.
God in the stocks.
A paradox.
I would not like grace here and there.
I would not like God that fair.
I would not like free grace for all.
I do not want my God that small.

Pick few, Not you.
How bizarre.
God’s character
it does mar.

Now see here,
that goes
much too far.

None to perish.
Can’t you see?
Whosoever
can be free.

Only elect saved by his decree.
No so bizarre! You let me be.

I do not like it about man.
I want it all to be his plan.
I do not like God in the stocks.
I so enjoy the paradox.
I do not like grace here and there.
I do not like God made that fair.
I do not like free grace for all.
I do not want God made so small.

Ordain!
Ordain!
Man still to blame?
That’s insane!

God must reign! It’s all by decree!
Not so bizarre! Just let me be!

I would not center it on man.
I want it all to be his plan.
I will not put God in the stocks.
I will enjoy the paradox.
I don’t accept grace here and there.
I don’t accept God that fair.
I do not like free grace for all.
I do not want my God that small.

Man!
In the dark.
Left in the dark?
Why are they left in the dark?

God chose to leave them
in the dark.

The reprobate,
made for pain?

Not chosen, but deserve the pain.
Left in the dark. God does ordain.
Not so bizarre. Not all made free.
I do not like grace, free, you see.
Not about man. No God in stocks.
God has a plan. A paradox.
I do not like grace here and there.
I do not like God made so fair.

You do not like
free grace for all?

I do not
like that,
God’s too small.

Would you deny
man a vote?

It’s all God,
so man
can not gloat!

No chance to get
on the boat?

No, that idea does not float.
All of God, so man can not gloat.
Saved just because God does ordain.
Not chosen, but deserve the pain.
Left in the dark. Not all made free.
Not so bizarre. Just let me be.
I do not like it about man.
I want it all to be his plan.
I do not like God in the stocks.
I so enjoy the paradox.
I do not like grace here and there.
I do not like God made so fair.

I do not like
free grace
for all!

I do not
like that,
God’s too small.

You do not like it.
So you say.
Read more! Study more!
And you may.
See what Scripture says, you may.

Now!
I will study God’s plea.
I’ll test the Word.
Then you’ll see.

Say!
I like free grace for all!
I do! It does not make God small!
Offered passage on the life boat.
A choice yet no reason to gloat.

Not by decree, yet God does reign.
Grace is the spark, choice is humane.
So less bizarre, all can be free.
God is so good, so good, you see!

Our God is not stuck in the stocks.
And this removes the paradox.
It’s Christ focused. Not about man.
God rules over his perfect plan.
I like grace given here and there.
It’s not about making God fair.

I do so like
free grace for all!
God’s love,
in Christ,
does enthrall!
