This article does not address controversial soteriological issues directly, but we include it because it advocates corporate redemption in Christ, with “the church having entered into the kingdom in the cross, resurrection, and enthronement of Christ” (p. 180) and individuals entering by faith into the redemption already accomplished for the corporate body when they believe. See especially pages 179-80 of the article (= pp. 7-8 of the pdf viewer). The article covers some technical issues that not all readers will be interested in, such as arguing for Pauline authorship of Col 1:12-14. Readers only interested in the article’s application to the Arminian/Calvinist debate may want to read only part 2 of the article, starting at the bottom of p. 177 (p. 5 of the pdf viewer) and continuing through to the end.
