An article on SEA’s website by prominent Calvinist John MacArthur? That John MacArthur? Yes, that John MacArthur. In this article, he answers the question of God’s responsibility for evil in a way that is consistent with Arminianism. Some Arminians might quibble with one thing or another in the article, but what MacArthur says still falls with an Arminian viewpoint. And thus, we include this article on our site as a sort of “hostile witness” for an Arminian view of Isaiah 45:7 and God’s relationship to evil.
