Author’s abstract: This is a study on the controversial passage of Acts 13:48, which has been understood as a form of predestination since the believers were appointed to eternal life before they believed. This study provides an intertextual interpretation that what is ordained is the inclusion of the gentiles prophesied through the text of Isaiah, which in the narrative that immediately preceded is cited by the Lukan Paul.
