Arminian/Calvinist Challenge: Describe God’s Love for All

Both Calvinists and Arminians need to describe God’s love in a way that does justice to the amazing and imponderable way that is presented in the Bible.

Arminians will have the easier route: God’s love is so great that he sent his son to die for the human race, indeed, for every sinner.

Calvinism can’t really countenance such wondrous love for all humans.

Ask the Calvinist to tell you about God’s love.

This needs to be made individualized and personal. “Describe for me God’s love for this person, for that person.” Then, “Describe for me God’s love for the non-elect.”
