A Calvinist recently posted these comments in our outreach Facebook discussion group:

I’m a Calvinist and I want to say thank you to this group.

While my entire upbringing and education has been hard core Calvinistic, almost all of my ministry partners and spiritual heroes are either Arminians or Molinists (I do Apologetics ministry).

About 2 years ago I decided to start trying to seriously understand Arminianism and other positions and honestly I’ve been shocked.

I’m shocked that I’ve never once been taught a fair explanation of what Arminianism is in all my education.

As I studied, I found Arminian arguments to be quite strong, biblically-based, and even compelling at times.

Specifically, I found the arguments against Limited Atonement and Irresistible Grace to be quite convincing.

If I had to pick a label, I’ve landed at being a (3-point) Light Calvinist/Molinist.

For the last 12 weeks I’ve been teaching a class at my church called “A Fair Look at Calvinism & Arminianism.”

To my surprise, it’s been the most popular class we’ve ever taught at my church.

Anyways, this group has been an invaluable resource and so many of you have been kind enough to answer so many of my questions.

The admins in this group are doing a fantastic job.

Keep up the great work and Thank You!
